Oklahoma City National Memorial

The Oklahoma City National Memorial is a momorial in honor of the victims, survivers, rescuers and other whom were affected by the Oklahoma City bombing. It is built on the site of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, which was destroyed in the blast. There is 168 empty chairs. One for each person that was killed in the attack. The site is framed by The Gates of Time, locking the site to 9:02, the time of the explotion. The former fifth street has been covered with black granite, over which a thin layer of water is floating, creating the Reflecting Pool. Also on the site one can find The Survivor Tree, Survivor's Wall, The Memorial Fence and other features to stimulate the memory.
